1. add extension for receiption

open your browser and go to freepbx, click extension on left menu and add extensions for your receiption, here we have three extensions: 8000, 8001 and 8888

2.  add a queue for your receiptions which would be used to answer incoming calls, we only add 8000 and 8001 in this queue

and u can set some options for this reciption queue

3. add a trunk which could be used for incoming calls

and the most important, set registry for this trunk so that u can get calls in

4. add a inbound route so that the receiption queue could answer your incoming calls

now make a call to your DID number, if everything is allright, phones of receiption should ring

5. go to astercrm and add account for your receiptions

6. add trunkinfo so your receiption could get some information about the number customer dialed

here Trunk Channel should be the username of your trunk, not trunk name in freepbx

7. login as a receiption accound and try make a call

this tutorial could be used on trixbox, elastix or any other system using freepbx, also u can config receiption account and dialplan by your self.

The parameter is “portal_display_type”, there’re two valid values, “customer” and “note”

When it’s “customer” mode, it would display all customers agent putted

customer mode

When it’s “note” mode, it would display customers with “note” and priority is greater than zero

note mode

say you want to add German to astercrm, first go to astercrm/login.php and find the following lines:

we use de_GER for German so we add line then it looks like

save the file, then when you enter astercrm login page, you can see

select Germany and login, and we go to next to change words.

asterCRM language files locate in astercrm/include/language, where you can see files like

account_cn_ZH.php
account_en_US.php
portal_cn_ZH.php
portal_en_US.php
…

so cn_ZH means Simplified Chinese, for Germany one, you can copy account_cn_ZH.php as account_de_GER.php, copy portal_cn_ZH.php as portal_de_GER.php

dont copy from en_US file coz for some words we have English as default in pages, so it could be not integral in the language file, en_US files could be used as reference.

then open the copied file account_de_GER.php with some text editor, and start translate, so it looks like

save the file with format UTF-8 when you finish.

translate one by one …, not much but need some patient untill all finish.

The last thing, change all images, go to astercrm/skin/default, you can see folders like “images_cn”, “images_en”.. copy images_en as images_de then modify all images in the folder.

refresh your browser then you can see asterCRM with your translation!

1. you need to apply a google api key

go to http://code.google.com/apis/maps/index.html

click “Sign up for a Google Maps API key.” on right

click the check box and enter your web site URL then button “Generate API Key”

done! now you get the key for Google Maps API

so next, go to your asterCRM web site login as admin

click “Manage” go to management interface, and select preference

scroll the page untill you find the parameter for google api key

click button “Save” and you will get the prompt “Save success”

please make sure the astercrm config file “astercrm.conf.php” is writable

now go back to asterCRM and select a customer with detail address, click the link [Map] next to Address

now enjoy

1. Intergrated with a CRM system, then you could start then development of your own call center
asterCC could get live call messages from the asterisk, including

src –> callerid
dst –> calleeid
srcchan –>  channel of the source
dstchan  –> channel of the destination
starttime –> time of the call start
answertime –>  time of the call is answered
srcuid –> uniqueid of the source
dstuid –> uniqueid of the destination
disposition –> result of the call

when there is a new call in asterisk, asterCC will insert a record into the realtime cdr table (curcdr), and it would update the record based the call status in asterisk, and when the call is finished, asterCC would delte the record in realtime table and insert the cdr into the history cdr table (mycdr)

2. as a realtime billing product for asterisk system
in asterCC there is a daemon named asterrc, using asterrc, it could calculate the fee of the call based on different rate, asterrc support reseller, group, clid three level rates, it also support both prepaid and postpaid.

the astercclock daemon could hangup the call based system user status.

the following products have been tested could work well with asterCC for billing

freepbx, elastix, magiclink, mvb2000

3. as a hosted callshop solution

astercc provide a web GUI, which is for callshop user, the callshop owner could set his own selling rates, from the GUI, you can see the status of each booth, including destination, duration, status, rate, also you can lock a booth or hang up a call when need. From the GUI, you can check incoming report, benefits report, and some other reports. The more excting thing is, the solution support callback, means u need nothing but a internet brower to open a callshop.

* all above solution, no need to change anything in your original asterisk.

4. as a calling card system

the agi script in astercc allow your customer enter the system, it would prompt for pin, and then prompt for destination number, it would announce your balance and the time of the call, if no enough credit or use up, it would cut the call.
